The Villarreal Palace, built in the 16th century, was bought by the Andalusian Regional Government and completely restored by the students of the Baeza Heritage Restoration School as a social housing complex.

Located in the morería of Baeza, very close to the monumental complex formed by the cathedral, the Jabalquinto palace, and the San Felipe Neri Seminary, is the Villareal palace, a significant example of Baezan civil architecture from the 16th century. Its state of ruin led the Junta de Andalucía to acquire it for social use. The renovation works sought to respect the elements of a building of this uniqueness while enabling it as a building with twelve social housing units with an average area of one hundred square meters. The objective of the restoration and rehabilitation was for social purposes and was carried out entirely by the students of the Baeza Heritage Restoration School.
