Reason for the award :

It constitutes an outstanding set of interventions with a very varied and extensive typology, which has included everything from nature protection actions to the rehabilitation of historical buildings, through archaeological, paleontological, and industrial heritage interventions.

This plan has empowered small rural communities, which have become more aware of the wealth of their heritage while at the same time becoming more dynamic.

The Plamit or Plan for the Improvement of Tourist Infrastructures of the Province of Cuenca is a set of actions developed between 2014 and 2016 co-financed with European ERDF funds. It covers a wide range of municipalities and types of interventions, ranging from the rehabilitation of civil and religious buildings to archaeological intervention, through the recovery of industrial, ethnological, and paleontological heritage.
